In late September, on the banks of the Damariscotta River at Mine Oyster Restaurant in Boothbay Harbor, the one day Pemaquid Oyster Festival is in full swing with educational exhibits, boat trips, local vendors, music, and loads of delicious Pemaquid Oysters. More than 10,000 oysters are shucked during the one-day festival to benefit the Edward A. Myers Marine Conservation Fund, which supports marine education and conservation projects throughout Lincoln County. Come find out what makes these award-winning oysters so special.
